Chile established itself once again at the World Travel Awards (WTA), known also as the “Oscars of Tourism”, with seven nominations at the 2025 worldwide version. This prestigious acknowledgment reinforces the position of the country as the leader of tourist experiences and one of the most outstanding destinations in the world.

Recently, at the South America WTA 2025, our country succeeded after winning five major awards: Leading Adventure Destination, Leading Green Destination, Romantic Destination with the Atacama Desert, Leading Nature Destination and Leading Cruises Destination.

We are now participating in the world competition, and you can help us win again.

The seven nominations for Chile

In the worldwide version, Chile competes in seven categories, which represent the diversity of its tourism offerings and the excellence of its services. The nominations are:

• Leading Adventure Tourism Worldwide Destination
• Leading Urban City Destination: Santiago
• Leading Cruises Destination
• Leading Worldwide Green Destination
• Leading Nature Destination
• Leading Adventure Tourism Regional Destination: Pucón
• Most romantic destination worldwide: Atacama Desert
