The O’Higgins Region awaits you with tourist attractions that range from the mountains to the sea. The Universidad Glacier gives life to the Cachapoal and Tinguiririca rivers, which feed the Rapel River and irrigate the Cachapoal and Colchagua Valleys, where the best wines in the world are produced.
In the region, with more than 100 kilometers of coastline, there are perfect waves for sports such as surfing, windsurfing or SUP. Beaches such as La Boca, Bucalemu, Puertecillo, Matanzas and Pichilemu stand out. Discover the different destinations you can find in the region.

1. La Boca
This place awaits you to live a relaxing experience, paddling on a SUP and discovering a natural and wonderful environment. You can observe birds and learn about the flora of the area.
2. Rapel Lake
This is a must-see in the O’Higgins Region. It has panoramas for all ages and tastes: you can practice water sports such as fishing, SUP or flyboarding, also enjoy the typical cuisine with views of the lake, or simply contemplate a sunset in one of the viewpoints. There is a vineyard, Borde Lago, where you can take a wine route and taste the wines that are produced on the shores of the reservoir.
3. Surfing in Pichilemu
Join their surf lessons. Coming to Pichilemu is to soak up the surf culture, which goes far beyond sliding on a wave. Surfing is about taking care of the environment and soaking up the cooperative spirit of the athletes. You can take a surf lesson at one of the schools that exist both on the main beach and in Punta de Lobos.

4. Cáhuil Salt Flats
If you want to learn about an ancient trade that has been passed down from generation to generation, visit Cáhuil. In the Salinas de Barrancas there are still salt workers, who carry out this work in an environment that flows into the Nilahue estuary. Here you can also go bird watching and other activities, such as kayaking or SUP.
5. The Cachapoal Valley
Known as “the pantry of O’Higgins”, it has positioned itself as a gastronomic destination, closely linked to its local producers, where you can try dishes with products from all over the region, such as lamb from the coastal dry land, seasoned with cáhuil salt and accompanied with quinoa from Paredones.
If you come from the north or the south, towards the coast of O’Higgins, enjoy this exquisite gastronomic destination, in Rancagua, Doñihue, San Vicente, Peumo, Las Cabras, among other communes.

6. Litueche
If you come from the Metropolitan Region to the coast of O’Higgins, this is a mandatory stop. With picadas like “Donde la Tía”. Here the gastronomy is closely linked to the products of the sea, delivering dishes with local identity that value the gastronomic heritage of the region.
7. Bucalemu
This is a gastronomic destination par excellence, just 30 minutes from Pichilemu. You can enjoy a rich gastronomy with sea views. 8. Colchagua Valley
