Santiago is getting ready to welcome the international gala of The World’s 50 Best Vineyards 2026, putting Chile at the heart of the global tourism spotlight. From November 16 to 20, 2026, the Chilean capital will be the meeting point for more than 1,000 international leaders, including vineyard owners, sommeliers, specialized press, and travel experts.

The World’s 50 Best Vineyards is the most prestigious annual ranking in the wine tourism industry. Compiled by a rotating academy of more than 700 international experts, this competition evaluates the overall visitor experience: winery architecture, natural landscapes, local gastronomy, service quality, sustainability, and the cultural value of each destination.

Santiago’s designation as host comes at a historic moment for national tourism. In the 2025 edition of The World’s 50 Best Vineyards, Chile achieved a standout presence in the global ranking:
- Viña VIK (No. 1 in the world): Located in the Millahue Valley (Cachapoal), Viña VIK took first place worldwide, being crowned the World’s Best Vineyard 2025 thanks to its extraordinary architecture, its art gallery, its hotels, and its sustainable winemaking proposal.
- Chilean presence in the Top 50: The excellence of Chilean wine tourism was reflected in the presence of outstanding wineries on the list of the 50 best in the world, including Viña Montes (Colchagua Valley, No. 10), Almaviva (Maipo Valley, No. 34), Viu Manent (Colchagua Valley, #40), Viña Santa Rita (Maipo Valley, No. 41), and Casas del Bosque (Casablanca Valley, No. 42).
