From July 12 to 18, 2026, the small town of La Tirana becomes the spiritual epicenter of Chile. This festival, the most important in the Norte Grande, honors the Virgin of Carmen with a cultural explosion: thousands of dancers performing diabladas, morenadas, and bailes chinos fill the streets with vibrant costumes and handcrafted masks under the Atacama Desert sun.
It is a unique mystical experience that blends Andean and Christian traditions. Visitors can enjoy brass band music, craft fairs, and local Tarapacá Region cuisine in an atmosphere of breathtaking devotion.
