5 unmissable grape harvests in Chile and how to get there

1. Colchagua Valley Grape Harvest

This is one of the most famous grape harvests in Chile and takes place in the city of Santa Cruz, about 2 and a half hours from the capital.

This year it will be held from March 6 to 8 in the Plaza de Armas of Santa Cruz, O'Higgins Region, where you can taste strains such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere and Syrah.

If you are in Santiago, you can get to Santa Cruz via Route 5 South, and then take the I-90 highway.

2. Isla del Maipo Grape Harvest

Isla de Maipo is a town located about 50 kilometers from the Chilean capital of Santiago and is very easy to reach by private vehicle or on buses that leave from the San Borja terminal located in Estación Central.

The XVI Isla de Maipo Grape Harvest Festival 2026 will be held on Santelices Avenue and Central Plaza, Isla de Maipo, Metropolitan Region, between March 28 and 29.

5. Aconcagua Valley Grape Harvest

The Aconcagua Valley is located 90 kilometers north of Santiago, nestled in the valleys of the central zone, and both its lands and the climate give life to excellent strains. That is why every year it also becomes the setting for the Aconcagua Valley grape harvest, one of the most important in Chile.
