Safety tips for your adventure

  • Stay constantly hydrated and avoid heavy meals before high-altitude excursions.

  • Inform your guide of any symptoms of altitude sickness, such as headaches, nausea, or dizziness.

  • Wear closed-toe footwear with good grip for hikes in Garganta del Diablo and Valle de la Luna.

  • Use sunscreen, sunglasses, and lip balm.

  • Temperatures will be very low during the early morning at the Tatio Geysers. Therefore, dress in warm layers and include gloves, a beanie, and thick socks.

  • Maintain a safe distance from wildlife during excursions.

  • Since the Los Lagos Region is known for its rainy climate, dressing in layers and including a waterproof and windproof jacket is recommended.

  • We recommend wearing quick-drying sportswear and comfortable footwear.

  • Bring a change of dry clothes for after rafting in the Petrohué River rapids.

  • Always wear a helmet during cycling and rafting activities.

  • Inform your guide if you do not know how to swim or have any relevant physical conditions.

  • Torres del Paine National Park has sudden weather changes. Therefore, dress in a technical layering system: thermal, insulating, and waterproof windbreaker.

  • Contact with the ice of Grey Glacier requires additional protection: bring gloves, a thermal beanie, and trekking socks.

  • Use sunscreen and UV-filter sunglasses, as ice and snow intensify radiation.

  • Always walk within designated areas and do not stray from the trails.

  • Inform your guide about any physical limitations or relevant conditions.

  • Maintain a safe distance from wildlife during excursions.

  • Leave no trace of your visit: return with all your trash.

  • Wear waterproof trekking shoes with good grip for excursions.

  • Always wear a life jacket during boat trips and kayaking. Follow the guide’s instructions at all times.

  • Maintain a safe distance from marine wildlife.

  • Since boat trips to the glaciers start early in the morning, the wind and cold are intense. Having heavy outerwear is recommended.
