Este vulc\u00e3o funcionou como a pedreira onde os antigos escultores talharam as c\u00e9lebres est\u00e1tuas, e hoje permite-lhe observar quase 400 delas em diversas etapas de constru\u00e7\u00e3o, muitas ainda unidas \u00e0 rocha m\u00e3e. <\/p>\n\n<p>O seu percurso transcorre entre as figuras semienterradas mais ic\u00f3nicas at\u00e9 chegar \u00e0 lagoa de \u00e1gua doce que descansa na cratera.
