From the snow season in the Andes to the landscapes of Patagonia, the lakes and volcanoes of the south, and Santiago’s urban life, the international press highlighted Chile’s diverse experiences during July.<\/p>\n\n

European, Argentinian, and Brazilian <\/strong>media outlets praised some of the experiences that make Chile a unique destination. The snow season, natural landscapes, outdoor adventures, and cultural richness were part of the stories that gave international visibility to Chile’s destinations<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

Below, we review some of the most relevant journalistic milestones of the month, organized by the main themes that captured the interest of international media.<\/p>\n\n

Santiago: A City Shaped by the Andes<\/h2>\n\n

Santiago continues to gain international visibility. The British outlet Glamour <\/em>published \u201cI visited this South American capital and discovered a city shaped by the Andes\u201d<\/a>, highlighting that the architecture, gastronomy, and cultural life of the Chilean capital coexist with the permanent presence of the Andes.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n

Additionally, Glamour<\/em> noted that the possibility of combining urban experiences with outdoor activities<\/strong> is one of the attributes that distinguishes Santiago from other capitals in the region.<\/p>\n\n

Meanwhile, the opening of ski resorts attracted attention in Argentina, where La Voz <\/em>published \u201cWinter holidays 2026: how much it costs to ski in Chile and which are the most popular resorts\u201d<\/a>. The article highlighted the variety of available resorts<\/strong> and Chile’s proximity to the trans-Andean market<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

Chile Strengthens Its Position as a Diverse Destination<\/h2>\n\n

The international promotion strategy was also present. In an interview published by Forbes Spain<\/em>, Undersecretary of Tourism, Mar\u00eda Paz Lagos<\/em>, explained the main challenges and objectives for strengthening Chile’s presence in international markets<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n

\u201cWe want tourists to come to Chile, return, and recommend it<\/strong>,\u201d said the Undersecretary, who also highlighted the country’s geographical diversity. In its introduction, Forbes <\/em>classified our country as one of the world’s most outstanding tourist destinations.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n

Furthermore, the German television channel <\/strong>ZDF <\/em>dedicated a special to our country titled \u201cCity, Countryside, Art: Special – Chile\u201d<\/a>. The program presented different cultural, artistic, and territorial expressions, bringing the destination’s diversity closer to European audiences. <\/p>\n\n

Lakes and Extreme Landscapes: Southern Chile Attracts New Attention<\/h2>\n\n

Southern Chile continues to be a topic of discussion. In Brazil, Hoje em Dia<\/em> highlighted Panguipulli as an emerging destination in southern Chile<\/a> and an excellent<\/strong> alternative <\/strong>to enjoy nature<\/strong>, explore landscapes of volcanic origin<\/strong>, and access rest and wellness experiences.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n

Patagonia<\/strong> was also featured in the report \u201cMagallanes, splendors of the extreme\u201d<\/a>, from the French portal La Tribune Dimanche, <\/em>which highlighted its nature, the vastness of its territories, and the unique character of this southern region<\/strong>. “With (the Strait of) Hormuz, the world has rediscovered the importance of these corridors that shape the seas,” the publication emphasized. <\/p>\n\n
