when you come to Chile, thanks to the fact that we are one of the few tricontinental nations in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On World Environment Day, we invite you to visit Chile and take care of the destinations that give us this important category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Rapa Nui and unique species<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/storage.googleapis.com\/bkt-chile-travel\/2024\/06\/3b244063-descubre-la-magia-de-rapa-nui_dia-1-ranokau_02-768x513-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-49864\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rapa Nui Island<\/strong> <strong>is located <\/strong>on the continent of <strong>Oceania<\/strong>, the most remote inhabited territory on the planet and a place full of legends, mysteries, and an impressive nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will find the Moai there, as the Stone sculptures scattered around the island are known that seek to commemorate the ancestors of the islanders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Having a subtropical climate, Rapa Nui enjoys a good temperature all year around, beautiful beaches and unique animal species.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to its volcanic origin, in Rano Kau, you will be able to see a natural lake inside the crater, where the largest reserve of endemic flora on Rapa Nui is located.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Continental Chile: desert in the north and largest forests in the south<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/storage.googleapis.com\/bkt-chile-travel\/2024\/06\/8bf44db5-conguillio_1-768x531-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-49860\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In continental Chile, located in South America, you will find diverse landscapes such as the Atacama Desert in the north and extensive forests with ancient trees to the south.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In places like San Pedro de Atacama, you can see in a single day the Valle de la Luna and its kilometers of rugged geography taken from another planet to huge salt flats full of water like the Laguna Cejar or the Lagunas Escondidas of Baltinache, where it\u2019s <strong>even possible to float without the need to swim <\/strong>due to their high sodium levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the salt flats of the Atacama Desert, it is also possible to see the birds such as flamingos, whose pink color is a direct result of their invertebrate diet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Towards the south of Chile, nationals\u2019 parks such as Conguill\u00edo are full of araucarias araucanas, a tree that survives from the time to the dinosaurs, more than 145,000,000 years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These forests are home to <strong>incredible animals such as the puma<\/strong>, pud\u00fa, mountain monkey and the chilla fox.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Chilean Antartic and its fauna<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/storage.googleapis.com\/bkt-chile-travel\/2024\/06\/38aac4ed-kmnn-2328-1-768x512-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-49856\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The third territory that allows Chile to be considered a tricontinental country is the <a href=\"https:\/\/chile.travel\/en\/areas\/patagonia-and-antarctica\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Chilean Antartic<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Animals such as the blue whale, the largest in the world, <strong>spend much of their lives there with continuous climbs from March<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will also find the elephant seals, seals, leopard seals, emperor, king, macaroni,
