Nevertheless, it is so much more than that, and we invite you to visit this place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This nature sanctuary made up of more than 11 hectares is famous for its wetlands, the Andean glaciers, immense forests, and huge granite mountains such as <strong>hills La Junta, Trinidad, and Anfiteatro<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These are reasons why Cocham\u00f3 Valley is known as a real paradise for climbers from everywhere in the world, who come to test their abilities at this place located in the south of Chile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You should also know that you can camp on amazing trails that cross vast green forests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How can I reach Cocham\u00f3 Valley?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are visiting Chile and want to see Cocham\u00f3 Valley, keep in mind that the closest airport is the one in Puerto Montt. You can come to this airport directly from Santiago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once in Puerto Montt, you can rent a car and head to Ensenada (Ruta 225), <strong>and then take the turnoff towards Cocham\u00f3 (Ruta V-69)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also either hire private transportation services or take any of the bus lines that get to Cocham\u00f3 Valley. These buses circulate between 7:30 am and 4:30 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A different option is to take one of the buses that come from Puerto Varas or join an excursion with a tour operator registered with Senatur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hours and registering<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/storage.googleapis.com\/bkt-chile-travel\/2024\/06\/c6687fe4-cochamo_la-junta_003-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-49902\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before going to Cocham\u00f3 Valley, you must know that it is mandatory to register before entering the trail and also check out when you return. This is for your own safety and those around you as well!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you visit the La Junta area during the day, you can do so<strong> between 7 and 9 am. If you want to visit the R\u00edo Piedra<\/strong> area, you can do so from 12 pm to 4 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We recommend visiting the <a href=\"https:\/\/reservasvallecochamo.cl\/trekking\/#horarios-del-sendero\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">official Cocham\u00f3 Valley website<\/a> in any case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Camping areas are available from September until May next year.
