From the northern tip to the extreme south, Chile\u2019s most important aim is to protect and maintain its species of flora and fauna that are of special interest in education, science and hobbies such as birdwatching, photography, stargazing, camping, hiking, hunting, fishing, and others. Forests, glaciers and salt flats must be protected, because they are home to many endemic species which make each one of these places unique and special, as well as an unforgettable experience for those who visit them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Chile there\u2019s such an amazing and diverse amount of natural resources, which have been protected from human intervention! All of them can be visited by foot and some by horseback or bicycle. Lake Chungar\u00e1, the Cotacotani Lagoon and the town of Parinacota are the protagonists of this natural beauty where one can shoot outstanding photos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/storage.googleapis.com\/chile-travel-static-content\/2019\/03\/PN-Lauca.1.jpg\" alt=\"Imagen panor\u00e1mica del Parque Nacional Lauca, donde se aprecian las lagunas altipl\u00e1nicas y las monta\u00f1as de fondo.\" class=\"wp-image-45919\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2.-<\/strong><strong>Salar de Huasco National Park<\/strong>: This site, a salt flat located in the Chilean high plains, is full of morphologic and natural wonders that make it worth the adventure at more than 4,000 meters above sea level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here you will enjoy seeing the majestic Chilean flamingos, whose bright rose colored feathers contrast sharply with the arid magic of the Atacama desert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/storage.googleapis.com\/chile-travel-static-content\/2019\/03\/PN-Salar-de-Huasco-1.jpg\" alt=\"Imagen panor\u00e1mica del Parque Nacional Salar de Huasco donde se aprecia el cielo con nubes claras y la belleza de su salar. \" class=\"wp-image-45925\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3.-<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/chile.travel\/en\/attractions\/pan-de-azucar-national-park\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Pan de Az\u00facar National Park<\/strong><\/a>: Truly a marvelous costal desert! Located 800 meters (2624 feet) above sea level, this park exists thanks to the dense fog that rises from the coast to the high valleys. This phenomenon, known as the Camanchaca, brings moisture to the cacti and bushes and enriches its flora and fauna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From here one can visit a colony of Humboldt penguins who inhabit the Pan de Az\u00facar Island. This is in the Chilean Patagonia. The site abounds with turquoise colored cliffs and spectacular waterfalls.
