If you are planning to visit a national park in our country and do not know which one, here are some that are open to the public and the protocols you should follow to have a safe and organized adventure during these pandemic times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Schedule your tour of the parks<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Conaf, the national entity in charge of managing Chile’s National Parks, unveiled a new digital platform to schedule visits for our country\u2019s several Protected Wildlife Areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To buy your ticket, all you have to do is visit pasesparques.cl<\/a>, where you will find all the information required to register, select your destination, and make your reservation, date and time of your visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your ticket will be valid 5 days before and 5 days after the date scheduled to visit the park. If you are unable to visit the park, you can reschedule your visit up to 48 hours before the scheduled date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To enter the park, you must first check in at pasesparques.cl<\/a>, where you must enter the reservation code of your purchase. Then you just have to show your digital or printed ticket at the entrance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This modern system also includes a final satisfaction survey to evaluate the services and tourist experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Which national parks can I visit?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At the moment, the platform only offers online ticket reservations for three National Parks in our territory and one Natural Monument, but more are expected to be added soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 8th Wonder of the World<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Located at the end of the world, in the amazing Chilean Patagonia, the Torres del Paine National Park was declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO and the 8th natural wonder of the world. Its mountains hiding turquoise lakes, evergreen forests, and vast ice fields reveal a unique scenery of contrasts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are 225,000 hectares of pristine and untamed beauty in one of the most remote areas in the world, where the granite towers, famous for giving the park its name, stand out against a horizon splashed with mountains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meet a 5-million-year-old mammal<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

And if you go to Torres del Paine, take the opportunity to book a visit to the Mylodon Cave, the second open national treasure and a must-see if you are in the Chilean Magellanic area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Mylodon Cave Natural Monument, located 25 km north of Puerto Natales, is made up of three caves where the remains of \u201cmylodons\u201d, large herbivorous mammals that probably became extinct at the end of the Pleistocene, i.e., approximately 5 million years ago, were found!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After photographing this gigantic monument, follow the hiking trail that connects practically all the attractions of this Natural Monument and if you are lucky you will also be able to observe some protected species such as the culpeo fox and quiques or wildcats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The full force of the Vicente Perez Rosales National Park<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

And if you want to feel the powerful energy of the waters of southern Chile, the Vicente Perez Rosales National Park is the best place in the world to hike several trails surrounded by rushing mountain rivers, and it’s open to you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is the oldest and most visited National Park in the country and its main access is through Route 225 on the way to the town of Petrohu\u00e9. At its entrance you will access one of the most beautiful natural attractions of this destination, the Petrohu\u00e9 Falls, an area full of vital energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
