The Vernadsky Station and the O\u2019Higgins Base allow you to discover human life on the frozen continent through organized visits. At the Ukrainian Vernadsky station, a museum tells the story of polar exploration and invites you to visit the famous Faraday Bar, the southernmost tavern in the world. <\/p>\n\n

For its part, the O\u2019Higgins Base stands out for being the first permanent Chilean enclave in Antarctica, founded in 1948. There you can visit the historic bust of the hero who watches over the peninsula and observe the colonies of gentoo penguins that inhabit the nearby islets. <\/p>\n\n
