Day 1: Puerto Varas

Visit Puerto Varas, the City of the Flowers and be captivated by its traditional German architecture, proof of the intensive European influence that has left its mark on this area since the mid-19th century. Take the opportunity to walk along its promenade and wonder at the view towards the Osorno and Calbuco Volcanoes. Visit the nearby town of Frutillar to have a typical southern supper and check out the culture available at the Teatro del Lago (Theater) to enjoy one of the many concerts and cultural activities they hold during the year.

Day 2: Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park

Take your car or your bicycle around the Llanquihue Lake, visiting Ensenada and the beaches around the water. Don't miss out on the Saltos de Petrohué, rapids that will surprise you with the intense color of their waters. Head a few kilometers north to the Todos Los Santos Lake. You can sail through amazing nature and visit the little town of Peulla. Make your way back to Puerto Varas for a well deserved rest or try your luck at the casino.

Chiloé

Day 3: Chiloé Island

Travel south to take a ferry through the Chacao Channel, which separates the continent from the archipelago of Chiloé. Visit the town of Ancud, known for its traditional market with a wide variety of seafood and souvenirs. For lunch you can try a traditional curanto to recover your strength and then visit the San Antonio Fort and finally the penguin colony on the Islets of Puñihuil. Travel further south to Dalcahue where you can buy woolen sweaters and hats. To learn more about the Chilote people, visit the Ethnographic Historical Museum and then head to Castro for a rest.

Chiloé

Day 4: Island of Chiloé and Puerto Montt

Visit the city of Castro, famous for its palafitos (houses built on wooden stilts) and for the San Francisco Church which was built completely from native wood. Travel to Cucao and to the Chiloé National Park to go deeper into nature. Then, head back to the continent over the Chacao Channel. Once on the mainland, don't miss the chance to visit Puerto Montt to try the fish and seafood offered by the many restaurants of the Angelmó Bay.

Pucón and Villarrica

Day 1: Pucón: Excursion to the Villarrica Volcano

Climb the Villarrica Volcano to live one of the most amazing experiences of your trip: see the lava in the crater running through the almost 200 meter diameter it has. For this journey you need to allow about 4 to 5 hours on the way up and approximately 2 to 3 hours on the way back down. Once you're back, you can rest in one of the spas of the area, ideal to restore your energies and continue with the adventures on the following day!

Day 2: Pucón: Excursion to the caves of the Villarrica Volcano

Live a unique experience visiting the caves of the Villarrica Volcano! Learn about vulcanology and the chronology of its eruptions as you walk through the 350 meters of lava tubes. Watch the different formations of solidified lava and learn more about the different colored minerals that are stuck to the contours of the cave. In the afternoon visit the amazing Caburgua Lake, of volcanic origin, and see the Eyes of Caburgua, underground water that bursts out in the middle of a thick forest.

Pucón and Villarrica

Day 3: Pucón: Excursion to the Huerquehue National Park

Ready for a new day of adventures? Visit the Huerquehue National Park which will fascinate you with its more than 12,000 hectares that contain gorgeous rivers, lagoons and millennial Araucaria forests. Inside this protected area, you'll come across many of the lagoons present in the park like Verde Lake, known by the deep emerald color of its waters. After a day of intense walking, go back to Pucón for a well deserved rest.

Day 4: Pucón: Roots of the Mapuche Culture

The Mapuche people are fundamental for Chile's history and represent a large part of Chile's indigenous population. Learn more about their ancestral traditions in towns like Curacautín and Lonquimay, see how they live and try their typical food. Appreciate the work they do with their crafts and looms and listen to the tales and stories their wonderful women have to tell you.

Huilo Huilo

Day 5: Huilo Huilo

Travel south through forests and lakes to reach the stunning Huilo Huilo Biological Reserve. Its wildlife and large variety of plants and trees will surprise you in an environment of absolute respect for nature. Go on excursions inside the reserve, trekking, mountain biking and horseback riding and if you travel in winter, take the opportunity to see the snowy forest on skis.

Day 6: Huilo Huilo

Still have any energy left? Then go on adventurous activities inside the reserve. Fly through the canopies, cable riding on one of South America's longest and highest tracks or dare to raft either through the calm waters or dynamic flows of its rivers in the middle of the overwhelming nature of the area.
