Day 1: Bellavista and Lastarria Districts

Start your adventure walking. Stroll along Lastarria Street where you can have a good cup of coffee in its quaint little cafes with outdoor terraces and look at the window displays of the indie-design stores in the area. At lunchtime, your best bet is to visit the side streets of the Bellavista District. If you're a food lover, its many restaurants and wide variety of gastronomic options will captivate your palate. And by the way, don't forget that some of the best ice cream parlors are here, so don't miss out on a dessert made from typical Chilean fruits while you walk alongside the Mapocho River.

Day 2: Gastronomic excursion in Santiago

Wear loose and comfortable clothes as this gastronomic excursion will test even those who like good food. The first step is a visit to Santiago's Main Square. In its nearby streets you'll find dozens of fast-food restaurants where you can start spoiling your palate. A couple of blocks to the north, you'll find the Central Market. Known as being one of the best in the world, its building, a declared Historic Monument, gathers small and important restaurants specializing in seafood and fish dishes. Crossing the Mapocho River, right on its northern bank you'll find the Tirso de Molina market, where you must try typical dishes like the turkey stew or a pulled beef sandwich with chili, which are "finger licking food". If you are still hungry, or if you just want to indulge, enjoy visiting La Vega. The capital's fruit and vegetable supply center will amaze you with their wide array of inexpensive natural delights.
