Chile’s New Ticket to the Great Outdoors
9 Feb 2011
If you’re a nature lover who is interested in exploring Chile and its exciting destinations, this is the time to do it.
The National Forestry Corporation (Conaf) has released a new Annual Pass that offers access to 33 national parks, 49 nature reserves and 16 natural monuments throughout the country.
Individual and family passes are available to both Chileans and foreigners.
The family pass ($30,000 Chilean pesos) covers 2 adults and up to 4 minors under the age of 18 per visit. The individual pass ($10,000 Chilean pesos) can be purchased by anyone over the age of 18.
The low cost of this “green card” is designed to give everyone access to nature and increase the practice of outdoor activities in marvelous destinations nation-wide. The pass offers unlimited access for a period of one year. The only national parks for which it is not valid are Torres del Paine and Rapa Nui.
Enjoy the great outdoors this summer with your Annual Pass! Available at all of the country’s protected woodland areas, in regional Conaf offices and at Andesgear stores.
